Getting down off the Turkey...

We could've taken the easy way down...but why?
Perhaps if Steven wasn't smiling this picture would be more believable!

So Steven said in all the times he had been to the park nobody had ever been able to climb this rock. Matt took the challenge...after a failed jump...he took another one and found himself stuck in this position for at least five minutes!

But he eventually made it and so did April...who took three steps and was on it in five seconds! It was one of the most awesome things I've ever seen! Ha!

Arwen skipped the rock and conquered the tree!

Dinner in Fredricksburg...

So after our long day of hiking we stopped in Fredricksburg for some German food...um yah...probably won't need to do that again!
Hungry girls waiting for their food to arrive will find amusement in just about anything!

Steven and April are happy to quench their thirst and tease their hunger with pre-dinner bread!

Brooks likes his coffee-black.

Matt is desperately needing something more than that measly piece of bread! Arwen agrees!

The Camp Kitchen...

Dad's Famous Indian Stew...made by me and almost just as awesome!

Cooking breakfast...they deemed me the Bacon Queen.

This is how we toasted our toast and poptarts...oh and they're coffee.

Since we were not allowed to build a campfire...we made smores over propane...yah we know not the brightest of ideas...but we did it anyway and lived to tell about it!

One of many smores we would scarf down!

Coming to the end...

Eating some grub around the Campfire...

Which was really just a lantern! Ha!

Lori and Matt watching Matt's attempt at climbing the rock.

On the way home...Brooks apparently a little more heartbroken about than I was!

Dublin, TX is the home of Dr. Pepper in case you didn't know and one of the few places you can still get a real Dublin Dr. Pepper--which means made with cane sugar instead of corn syrup.

One of many get togethers at my casa!

So I decided to have a party and invited a few friends...found out I had more than I realized! Ha!

A night of Putt Putt and thensome...

Jamie and Megan all smiley and happy!

The Photographer--Blair all serious!

Jamie preparing for a night of Putt Putt.

It's not a good game of Putt Putt without a little dance or two!

Putt Putt...

Let the Games Begin...or End?

Every shot must be taken with careful consideration.

Tribute to my Billiard shooting days!

At least Wooley is focused!

So a funny thing happened on the way to the 15th hole...

More Putt Putt...

One of the many sights along the way.

Jasmine keeping score.

My "please no picture's" pose when really I want you to take non stop pictures because I'm just that I'm awesome! Ha!

Yay! Jamie finished without breaking anything!

Jasmine is all thumbs about her score!

More Putt Putt...

Matt earns the Green Jacket--if only we had one to give him!

Wooley's just glad the competition is over!

I think Blair forgot he was golfing...

Angela discovering she beat me by 1 stroke...arggh!

The after party at Wooleys included a fire and smores! Yum!

International Friends

This was at the beginning of the Spring semester in Chapel. These are two of my international friends. Esther is from Germany and Gloria is from South Korea!

Take a Hike!

Did you know you could go hiking in Texas? Who knew! And rock climbing too! A group of us found ourselves in Lake Mineral Wells State Park doing just that! It was an awesome day!
Esther, Sandy (her dog Zeta), Dessa, Angela, Danielle (her dog ?), and Rebeka

Just after we had trekked down to the waterless lake. Scott and Justin have joined for the picture.

The waterless lake, very strange ground. Justin, Aaron, and Esther examining who knows what!

The three brave boys who joined us 5 girls!
Aaron, Scott, and Justin

Surfing on the lake...well at least Angela and I are!

We found this sign laying down on the ground after we had already spent an hour climbing all over everything we saw! Oops!

One of the crevices we crawled through...even the dog posed for the pic!

Really cool trees to climb on too...though I'm really the only one in any danger of falling off, which is why Esther is kind of holding onto me.

As you will see these four brave ones actually scaled a boulder and this is them basking in their triumph! Way to go Gang!

Aaron offers a hand to Dessa while Esther gives her leg a shove up as well! Ha!

Another crevice (and this one didn't require us jumping off a four foot boulder to get to the ground--oh, did I not mention that before!)

Dessa and Rebeka pushing the rock apart so we can take a shortcut!

Let's just say that if one of us fell off the back of this rock there would be no need for a bath later! As you can see not everyone ventured out there, just a crazy ones!

Just one of the trails that wasn't really a trail but was a trail...it was filled with prickly things...the tree limbs, briars on the ground, and catcus too!

The day is coming to an end and so we stopped for one last pose. Dessa just got the memo a little late!

This might be more believable if I was grimmacing instead of smiling! Ha!

We finished the night with a meal as we were all starving! It just so happens I had one of the best Italian dishes I've ever eaten! Amazing!!! Dessa and Angela enjoyed their meals too!
